SK C&C Seeks Markets in MENA

 

 

 

SK C&C (www.skcc.com), while accelerating its advancement into the global market with its business lineup, is looking to get into the markets in the MENA (Middle East and North America) region through SK C&C Dubai in UAE.

SK C&C announced on May 22 that its President & CEO Chung Chul-khil had visited SK C&C Dubai May 20 on his three day tour, during which, he held in depth discussions with local employees covering various topics, including market trends of the region and sales plans targeting different countries.

SK C&C is expanding the role of its UAE branch into a regional control tower through which SK C&C will initiate tailored market penetration in major countries, including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Algeria.

President & CEO Chung said, “We have to seek more opportunities that suit local conditions by forging partnerships with local businesses in the region, and what we need is preemptive measures to find suitable business models, going beyond merely responding to market demands.”

He also encouraged the local employees by saying, “Let’s work together in these difficult times to become a market leader recognized by the market and chosen by customers.”

“For continued growth of the company, the CEO is overseeing operations in the global and non-IT areas,” said one of the SK C&C staffers. He then added, “During the visit, the CEO worked with the local staffers face-to-face to find ways to improve execution of global projects.”

SK C&C recorded global revenues of KRW 53.5 billion in first quarter alone, accounting for 10.2% of the total of KRW 523.8 billion. This year marks the first year where the company’s global revenues exceeded the 10 percent mark of the total, a 30.2% increase year-on-year.
