SK C&C (www.skcc.com) announced on May 12 that it won the IT outsourcing project for the Korea Securities Finance Corporation (KSFC) at KRW 27 billion.

SK C&C has been selected as an IT outsourcing partner numerous times by KSFC since the first project together in 2004, consolidating its role as a strategic IT service partner.

SK C&C has fully secured its top spot in domestic IT outsourcing with its clients now numbering 39, ranging from financial institutions to others, including Korea Development Bank, Kookmin Bank, the Export-Import Bank of Korea, Korea Finance Corp., MetLife Korea, Daishin Securities, Korea Investment and Securities, Korea Aerospace Industries, Education Broadcasting System, Korea Land and housing Corp. and Maeil Dairies.

KSFC, the only securities finance service provider in Korea, selected SK C&C as its IT service partner giving high marks on its proven track record with KSFC for the past seven years of operating and maintaining KSFC’s entire IT infrastructure system, through which SK C&C supported KSFC’s innovation in financial services through efficient distribution of IT resources allocated by their significance and through provision of the optimal IT services tailored to KSFC’s growth and change.

SK C&C also received high marks on how it had established a stable security management system despite a data leak crisis in the financial sector. Stability of the security system was achieved through preemptive formulation and application of security policies and real-time monitoring and inspection to protect personal information.

SK C&C will administer KSFC’s systems and applications and provide IT outsourcing services for the next three years until 2017, during which SK C&C intends to guarantee the quality of service by gearing-up a real-time monitoring and evaluation system to secure the IT outsourcing service level. SK C&C’s SLA (Service Level Agreement) and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)-based total IT outsourcing service provision system will be in place to secure the quality of service.

Vice President Baek Hyung-deok, head of Strategic Business at SK C&C, said, “We, as the Korea’s leading IT outsourcing service provider, will spare no effort to help KSFC adapt to internal and external changes in the market landscape and create new value along with its growth.” He also added, “We will be KSFC’s strategic IT service partner and help KSFC perform stable business operations and continue its innovation.”
